Sinopse|Synopsis
What happens when you're alone?
It's just another day in his life and he thinks he's a good, good boy.
Boy is a short flm by Bruno Gascon and features Duarte Grilo as a man who is trapped in a house. It's a heavy flm, a psychological thriller about a deprivation of liberty and what happens when we get too much time alone. Among the fears of a hostile exterior and an interior where all the blackest terrors of his mind are arrested, Boy has to decide his fate. What is true and what is hallucination? Who is this man? Is he truly stuck or the real prison is his mind?
This is a anguishing short flm in which nothing is what it seems and where the power of sound and the power of fears are combined into a short physical space.
His name is Boy and he has the whole world in his hands.

Bruno Gascon
Bruno Gascon is a portuguese director who fell in love with movies really young. He has been making films ever since then first in his imagination then in a more amateur level with friends and playmates.
Growing up, he continued making countless films in his spare time, but it was not enough to be self-taught and therefore he decided to pack up and move to Amsterdam where he studied at SAE Institute. It was a new world that has opened at technical level and that allowed him to start walking toward their greatest wish: put  image in all the stories he has saved since he was a boy with whit the dream of making movies.
In Amsterdam he has worked with some of the best technicians and could collaborate on short films and also in other audiovisual projects. Then he returned to Portugal.
As Bruno believes that to get a good product it's necessary to be involved in all phases of each project, since leaving SAE Institute he has been director of photography, editor, producer and of course director of every project he has worked in many Portuguese
Also collaborated on other short films as Catharsis in which he was editor and that was the winning short at The 48 Hour Film Project and represented Portugal in Filmapalooza Festival. More recently he was camera operator and made the color correction in Complete Remission, a short film selected for the Cannes Film Festival - Short Film Corner 2014.
Now it's time to make his first short film that was written and directed by himself.
